I liked everything, but the best is the owner. She is so friendly and let you very comfortable in her house.
The staff were wonderful especially Maria.
Supposedly pet friendly but room was far too small for anything other than a vvvv small dog. We had 2 medium sized dogs. Also no outside space for the dogs. The staff were exceptional and really went out of their way to help!! The only reason we booked in there was for its 'supposed' pet friendly credentials.
The owner was very nice and accommodating.
The location was about a 20 min walk to inner city (nothing else really around) and felt it was a bit overpriced for a b&b (€115/night - not including breakfast). We understood that it was a bank holiday weekend so prices are usually higher but we have stayed in other B&B's in prime locations and had better value for our money. Not dissatisfied but just a general comment.
Good location to where we needed to be. Also a 15 minute walk to the city centre.
We were unable to check in at the time stated on our booking so had to leave our luggage in another hotel and carry around our smaller luggage for the day. Once in our room the heating took a long time to start and we couldn't find anyone in the property to help us. Overall we were very disappointed with the experience.
Lovely, very clean hotel in a good location. Would most certainly stay here again.
Loved this one, very cute and clean. Excellent facilities and staff were awesome.
sub standard accomadition and way over priced, poor value for money
Close to center of Cork.
Limited parking. Very expensive(E130 for room only). Noise throughout the night from busy road outside. The place is a firetrap and most dangerous to stay at.
The staff are very friendly an helpful
A bit old-style. For €55 per room breakfast should really be included.
24 h presence. Lovely host.
Nothing - very close to the university, 15 mn away fron the center.
A very welcoming host and home - perfect location for the city and really good value - the rooms were big and the breakfast tasty. Perfect base for a city break
The bathroom is not insulated so be prepared during the winter!
Cleanliness is most important to me and Achill House was very clean, spotless really. Mrs. McSweeney is a very gracious hostess.
